    Further to this posting:
    
    I could not find the reference to Sir Robin Knox-Johnstone's sun-compass 
    experiment which I am sure was published in the Institute of Navigation's 
    Journal or Monthly news magazine somewhere.
    
    I have found this article however by Captain Soren Thirslund of the Danish 
    Maritime Museum,  Kronborg.  Published January 1997 in the Journal of 
    Navigation.
    
    The sun compass is mentioned on page 61.
    
    I tried to reduce the page size and resolution to reasonable limits but the 
    file is still quite large at 2 MByte.
