Viruses

I don't know how other people have fared, but I
have received 3 serious (i.e. very recent and powerful) viruses via this group
over the last few days. 2 of them appear to have emanated from infected
pc's belonging to list members and have come via the list server, and 1 from
something which has stolen the list's email list, and/or email addresses of
people who post on the group, and has sent an email looking very much like it
came from a list member.
So far, my, and my ISP's anti-virus software is
holding up.
When people participate in a list such as this, I
think it is only responsible of them to ensure that they have continuously
updated anti-virus software on their pc's. By continuous I mean software which
"calls home" every few hours for updates.
Sorry for the OT whinge, but, as a consequence of
viruses, I have had to rebuild my computer OS and contents twice in the last 15
months! I am now well aware and very conscious!!
