    temperature, but so far I couldn't find this information on the

    This might well be the case for this almost totally enclosed sea,
    which is rather like a big lake. I can imagine that the conditions
    could be quite comparable to those on the Great Lakes.

    That's a bit much of speculation. It looks also that it would require
    a lot of work to retrieve the data for the over 100 days for which I
    need this information.
    
    In the meantime I found also this Web-page here
    http://www.ghrsst-pp.org/index.htm but I haven't yet found out how to
    access their data ...
