What do you think would have happened to them prior to radio communication? Like the story goes, they had plenty of booze, which was probably influencing their decision to depart these shores.
They got their boat on Ebay which has a pretty good "satisfaction guarantee". Perhaps they can get their money back?
My guess is these sailors are going to make a lot of money making a movie not much different than "All is lost".
