Maybe worth acknowledging that the haversine method can just as easily use an AP as a DR, and although the intercepts will almost certainly be larger, for all practical purposes the same LOP will result. Using an assumed position with the haversine formula (or a calculator) also makes for simple, whole degree lat and LHA table entries.
