The whole notion of defining oceans and seas has always seemed pretty arbitrary to me. A show on PBS showed how water from the Pacific ocean near Australia makes its way to the North Atlantic -- it is all one big body of water. The "7 seas" sounds neat, but try and name them in a way that nobody will contest...
