    The whole notion of defining oceans and seas has always seemed pretty
    arbitrary to me.
    
    A show on PBS showed how water from the Pacific ocean near Australia
    makes its way to the North Atlantic -- it is all one big body of
    water.  The "7 seas" sounds neat, but try and name them in a way that
    nobody will contest...

    south of Australia (as she did) then she could easily be swept to the
    east into, according to them, the Pacific Ocean, not knowing where she
