Dear Clive, It's likely that some purists may scoff at your plastic sextant, but over many years I have found the Ebbco to be suitable and appropriate for small-craft work, in which no great accuracy is possible. A likely weakness is in the shades, which can deteriorate. I offer what information I have. I used to have a copy of their 16-page handbook, mentioned in those pages, but can no longer find it. The makers East Berks Boat Co, of Henley, no longer exist. I bought an ebbco sextant on ebay which was said to be not working but I got it working. Now I want to know how to use it and hoping to find a manual some where. Can you help me at all? Cheers Clive Cooper .
