A couple of comments. Some years ago a version of the Ebbco plastic sextant did indeed appear in the Plastimo catalogue, under a different name. I do not know if it is there still. But a couple of years ago I made enquiries of some chandlers who still had that sextant in their current online catalogue. In every case it turned out to be unavalable, for a variety of reasons, such as "the factory burned down". So if Clive, or anyone else, can confirm up-to-date information about a supplier, that would be of some interest. Clive states "I checked the accuracy (zero degrees) and it is perfect". I doubt if he is saying anything more, here, than that he has adjusted the horizon-mirror screws so that there's no index error. That tells us little about the glass, and is not really important either. It's easy to check the index error, whenever the instrument is used, and it's easy to allow for, whatever its value. I have found out that Ebbco sextants are now manufactured by Plastimo. I needed a replacement index mirror and thought about contacting them but quickly gave that away and made one up myself. That was quite easy but a little time consuming (maybe one hour). I checked the accuracy (zero degrees) and it is perfect. You don't know anyone selling a Capt Cook type hat do you?
