I believe the following contributed to morning shot problems.
Tried it three times. Once, possibly twice, low hanging haze/fog gave a poor horizon, or my old eyes no longer work as well as they once did. In another instance, a much cooler morning, sky was quite clear, stars shown quite clearly, though I suspect I was overwhelmed by the number thereof, and my view was limited to an arc running from roughly 110D-260D magnetic.
Problems and traffic jams, wherever one goes.
