I forgot to add the basic procedure for calculating leeway in my 1st post. To calculate leeway and or the leeway correction one uses a relative motion plotting sheet or board. Treat it as the vector quantity it is. Fromcourse and speed line vector, apperant wind line vector to true wind line vector. One can quickly calculate the leeway and the needed correction. It is also possible to calculate leeway using plotting sheets but the RM sheets are easier. It must constantly be recalculated and updated. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ To post to this group, send email to NavList@fer3.com To , send email to NavList-@fer3.com -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
