I bought the book from Celestaire, but found it a bit frustrating since it only describes a procedure for clearing the distance based on its complex and extensive tables, but it does not describe in any detail the underlying algorithm or at all how the tables themselves are computed. BTW - if anyone has this information, I'd dearly like to see it, otherwise I guess its off to the library to find a good 19th century navigation book... rod -----Original Message----- From Russell Sher [mailto:rsher@TELLUMAT.COM] Sent: Monday, September 11, 2000 6:15 AM To: NAVIGATION-L@LISTSERV.WEBKAHUNA.COM Subject: lunars... One source of information on Lunars is "Tables for Clearing the Lunar Distance" available from Celstaire (see: www.celestaire.com) Russell
