    I bought the  book from Celestaire, but found it a bit frustrating since it
    only describes a procedure for clearing the distance based on its complex
    and extensive tables, but it does not describe in any detail the underlying
    algorithm or at all how the tables themselves are computed. BTW - if anyone
    has this information, I'd dearly like to see it, otherwise I guess its off
    to the library to find a good 19th century navigation book...
