    Paul,
    Normal practice is to split the loss/gain over two watches, ie clocks change
    at midnight and both the evening and middle watches are 3 1/2 or 4 1/2 hours
    each.
    Having said that, I have seen the hour lost taken from the middle (ie 3 hrs
    stood) and the hour gained added to one of the dog's
