    George
The first British Nautical Almanac was I believe published in 1767 and
on the 200th aniversary of that date a special edition was published, I
think by the Almanac Office, to commemorate the event. The thing of
interest is that it contained some abridged Lunar distance tables
current for 1967. I'm not sure where you would find a copy now but you
could try the Royal Institute of Navigation library if you don't get any
    joy from the NA archives.

    regards Clive.
