There is another excellent choice, apparently forgotten
    in this discussion:

    "Complete on-board Celestial Navigator",
which includes 5-years almanach, and pretty convenient
site reduction tables and much more.
    All in one small volume.
The accuracy is better than 1 minute.

When I go to Europe for a summer, with little
chance of a week or so of sailing,
I carry a pocket sextant (much smaller than a plastic one),
this book and a pocket calculator.
This is enough for 1' accuracy.

    Alex.
