1. GHA Nunki = 60, Lo = 15 E, RA Nunki = 250. What is LHA of Aries ?
2. You are at Lo 14 W at ZT 1400. The LMT at your Location is ?
3. You are at L 23 41.7' S, Lo 107 12.3' E. At this time, the GHA of the moon is 323 28.8' and its declination is 17 38.6' S. What is the approximate direction of the moon from your position?
Alan,
On 1. you need to do a look-up for Nunki's SHA which is 76* then we get:
GHA Aries 344*
SHA Nunki 76*
GHA 60*
Long. 15* E
LHA Aries 75*
RA Nunki is no help
2. 14* W Longitude is 1* E of Zone Meridian or 4 minutes of time sooner for a LMT 1356.
3. You need to determine the LHA of the Moon which is 70*. This puts the Moon to the west.
These kinds of questions are of little help in visualizing. Diagrams are much better.
