... I agree with your conclusion.
Mathematically speaking, this approach apparently pionneered by M. Zevering has already been "defeated" some 48 hours ago by the one single counter-example given by George Huxtable.
I think that this event should be an excellent reason for M. Zevering to further refine and improve his reasonings, or maybe just simply his current way of explaining his ideas and findings. This temporary difficulty of his should be just a "spurring reason" for him to resume working onto his concepts so that hopefully we may soon enjoy the reading of a new, consistent and beautifully innovative view point on these extremely fascinating subjects.
