Great presentation, as always. It may be allowed to add that the wartime SOLD came
with two different types of bubble attachments. With the one you pictured (figure 1a, right side, bronce color)
and one that is almost identical to the post war bubble attchment. The only visible difference being
the triangle shaped housing piece next to the bubble chamber and a missing hole. I have attached a photo of the one of my Plath SOLD.
I own also two Russian post war aircraft sextants (IMS-3 and IAS-1M) which feature the other
(bronce colour, slim reservoir) type.
