Subject: [NavList] Sun Moon Fix with Moon XM
Yesterday I had the Sun and Moon right were I wanted them for a fix and ex-meridian of the Moon. The linked work sheet shows the summing and plot. A 0.2' discrepancy was noticed between the Nautical Almanac and the USNO parallax correction. I prefer the USNO formate (see pic 164 and pic 173) which has each correction listed separately to the Nautical Almanac which combines parallax, refraction, and semi diameter in a confusing set of tables that has instructions in fine print on an adjacent page. There is room for improvement here.
