I have little understanding of this situation, and will show that I don't by asking questions and statements? In the image all the stations are of equal distance, are they always? If not won't the radian rule 1 to sixth show in the CPA of each? the example shows the stations are with-in 180 degrees of one another, from the target. with all the random variables will the error most likly be in the same rough direction? If so would the target be in the triangle? If the center station were a little farther away from the target would this be a swinger, there fore unsolverable? I have used radio direction fixes many years ago, my piloting technique works using gyro, magnetic,radar bearing and RD from the ship!
fixes are not perfect but with random error will give good correctional information and will help tighten the triangle, depending on each station, how random. Or did I miss understanding the situation?
