mapping from nearmap.com
Have recently come across this new (?) online mapping facility:
which is similar to Google's product, with a few advantages:
1. Apart from familiar overhead photo or street map options,
Nearmap also offers "Terrain", giving an indication of the
topography; and
2. The overhead photo view is not only relatively fresh but
also comes with a date. Not only that, but earlier overhead photos are
typically available, also with dates. They seem to be high-quality
images.
What it doesn't have is a measuring tool, to (for example) measure
distances within the maps. Any map-maker software-developers tuned in,
please consider including this...
