    OK. I actually did first calculate it for the given date and time.
    When I looked up the meteorological conditions at Oxnard I noticed
    that the sunset hasn't yet taken place for the third of April. It
    seems to have been too late at night for not having been able to
    recognise the reason for it.
    
    Since I'm not familiar with navigational practices I may have done it
    slightly different to how other members of the list may tackle this
    sort of problem.
    
    Here the location which I found: 34.346231�N and -119.422249� (W)
    (don't take the last decimals seriously) The oil rig is about a mile
    off-shore from this place.
    
    It will however take me a bit longer to write down how I proceeded. I
    intend do that tomorrow.
