I have just obtained a frieberger sextant circa 1988 with distressed mirrors and want to get then resilvered or replaced. can any list members offer suggestions? the freiberger mirrors are surface silvered (silvered on the face) not back silvered as the majority of mirrors are.
on a secondary note, can anyone offer a tip or hint on the removal and replacement of the mirror clips on a sextant? my fingers seem too big, too weak, or two few for the task, at least as I approach it.
