    Re: H.O 211 math error
    From: Joe Shields
    Date: 1999 Feb 26, 10:44 PM

Many thanks for your responses. Kind of scarry that I could make such
an easy math error. I'm usually so concerned with possible errors in
the As and Bs looked up in H.O 211 that I guess I just kept
overlooking the error in LHA. I have H.O. 249, but am on a kick right
now to see how accurate I can get using the approx. Sun decl./Eq. of
Time table that came with my Mark 3 Davis sextant, the condensed
Ageton table (Bayless), and the altitude correction page and the time
to arc conversion page (both from the Nautical almanac). The whole
    thing takes up 4 double-sided 8 1/2 * 11 sheets of paper. Re-doing
some sights using this bare-bones kit has opened my eyes as to how
accurate you can get with so little to carry around. That is, if one
can subtract correctly. Thanks again. -- Joe
