Herewith is the picture of Captain P.V. H. Weems receiving the Gold Medal from Mr. D. H. Sadler the president of the Institute of Navigation,(later Royal Institute) in 1956 at the ninth General Meeting of the Institute in London for "his outstanding contributions to the general advancement of air and surface navigation for over thirty years".
