About using a Casio calculator to do sexagesimal conversions- Do check, won't you, that the conversion routines work correctly for negative angles. On the Casio programmable calculator FX 730 P, and the later but similar FX 795 P, the function DMS$(dd.ddd) correctly converts a number in decimal degrees into degrees minutes and seconds as a character string, even if it's negative. However, the function DEG(dd,mm,ss), which converts an angle in degrees, minutes, and seconds into decimal degrees, goes wrong for negative angles, unless you are careful to attach a negative sign to the minutes and the seconds, as well as to the degrees. I have no idea whether this problem applies also to the FX 250 and FX 260 being discussed, but it's worth checking.
