My $.02. First, skip the plastic junk and go with the metal sextant. I have an Astra IIIb and a Freiberger and well as some Davis junk. If you can't go the new, get one used. There are generally plenty of disillusioned people willing to get rid of a sextant just like there are with cameras. Second, the government book store in Los Angeles will ship you a very good government edition of the nautical almanac in about 2 days. Call them with a visa card number; no tax and no postage. --Gordon ,,, (. .) +-----------------------ooO-(_)-Ooo----------------------+ | Gordon Talge WB6YKK e-mail: gtalge@pe.net | | Department of Mathematics QTH: Loma Linda, CA | | Aquinas High School Lat.
