It's the same thing. 145.875 is the decimal equivalent of 145d 52.5m. If you consider just the 52.5 minutes and convert it to a decimal equivalent you get (52.5/60=.875)

this where I lose it. I make 8752.5 / 60 = 145.875

It's the same thing. 145.875 is the decimal equivalent of 145d 52.5m. If you consider just the 52.5 minutes and convert it to a decimal equivalent you get (52.5/60=.875)
