Seriously, I had a self winding Seiko I bought at the PX in 1965. The
manufacturer was so sure it would always work it didn't even have a backup
winding stem. It stopped weekly, on my wrist, so I eventually gave it to
my father when I bought an Accutron.
For him, it worked well enough for the next twenty years that he only
reset it on the shift from daylight savings to standard time.
I played with adjusting the Accurton for a few years; and eventually
bought a cheap, more accurate Cassio. Unfortunately, that one is now
losing roughly five seconds per day . . . so I'm looking for another
plastic cased, "Alarm Chrono / 50 M Water Resist" of the same brand.
Maybe when the current Lithium battery dies, I'll buy the model Peter has.
