Renee- Yes. The author's works are protected by copyright, however, in the US copyright allows for "fair use" of material. This includes the right to post short excerpts for review and scholarly study. So yes there is an issue, no, there should be no problem. I say that as a civilian and not an attorney, because in this wonderful land anyone can sue anyone for anything, write or wrong. [sic] If you post sections of the book verbatim, my understanding is that fair use still allows that. If you post the *data* without repeating everything verbatim, that's even better, because raw data are not subject to copyright.
