Dave,
There are no catches. Well ... except if you subscribe to their newsletter. Then, they will spam the **** out of it. But honestly, I don't mind - because the deals really are that good. (That's how I found out about this one.) I've gotten $800 worth of audio/visual editing software for $25. And, IIRC, you can pick the topics they mail you about.
You can subscribe for even more deals, but it is not necessary at all. I think you can even just browse their site for deals. I've never even looked. There are time limits on some of the downloads - but we're talking months, usually. And once you download it - it's yours forever. If it's a program, you'll get the installer and a registration key - so you can reinstall any time. There are no additional or hidden fees/charges.
I know it sounds too good to be true, but it is true. Don't ask me how they do it. I suppose they just strike deals with publishers to get exposure. It seems to be working.
Anyway, this is getting way off-topic. I'll just add that I am in no way affiliated with the site.
Cheers,
Sean C.
