Sean & Stephen - FWIW there is a program called Geogebra www.geogebra.org which I've not got round to playing with yet but does have the ability to produce animated gifs amnong other formats. It's available for many platforms and is free. there are a couple of animations on the site here and here. I remember now the reason why I never get round to any coding is that I always find that somebody has already done it .
