We did not measure it, but generally it is 48 degrees Fahrenheit in the
winter to 59 degrees in the summer at the maximum. It can get quite a
bit warmer in the summer in the area called Desolation Sound due to it
being a "null zone" between the Northern and Southern flows of water on
the east side of Vancouver Island.

Friday afternoon through Sunday night things are quite busy. Weekdays,
things are quite different, quite deserted. My friend said that once
you clear Vancouver Island going North you enter a different world, a
world almost completely empty of traffic, other than the occasional
    cruise ship.

I can't wait to go farther!
