If you are consistent in the error, then I would apply a "personal error" correction in that amount in the opposite direction and call it good.
I love my 7x scope, but since I am using it on a large freighter or lunars on shore, I have the appropriate platform to take advantage of it.
As far as using a binocular part, you will probably introduce more error by doing this than what you could correct. The mounting bracket needs to be exactly perpendicular to the optical axis, and that is likely not the case in binoculars.
