I'm looking at aircraft sextants and trying to decide between an A12 and A8-A, I see both listed on Ebay and it looks like both sellers have excellent ratings and reviews, so the decision comes down to which one. I am looking for info on the advantages and disadvantages of those two sextants.
I was originally looking at the A12 and found good info on using it. I actually won a bid on one, but the seller never responded so I had to have Ebay refund the money.
The A8-A also looks like it will be a good choice. This one is by Mr Swartz. I would like to find more info on its' use, I did find info on the A6 which looks very similar.
I am looking at using the sextant to demonstrate celestial nav to our local EAA chapter, and possibly do some demos at the Wis. Aviation Heritage Center. I will probably get the opportunity to use it in some small aircraft as well.
