If you receive NavList messages by email, and if you have been receiving a plain text version of those emails, either individually or in digest form, you'll be switched to formatted email or "html email" as the default from now on. This has been standard email practice for more than ten years in the wider world. I know of two people who have specifically stated that they prefer plain text, and I haven't changed your settings. If there's anyone else, you can easily change your settings back to plain text through the NavList web site (go to http://fer3.com/arc, click on the "Tools" menu, get your "posting code" if you don't remember it, then after that has been emailed to you, come back to the "Tools" menu and select "email settings"). Note that the html versions of emailed messages also include a plain text view hidden within, so it's also possible to view messages in plain text format by adjusting your email reader's settings -- you'll have to figure that out on your own.
And as a reminder, you can also receive short message notices with subject, author, and a link to the full message via Twitter by following NavListNews. It's also possible to receive these by email of text (SMS) message. I have to set that up manually so email me if you would like to try that.
