Having finally gotten my level vials "dialed in", I find it convenient to leave them on the mirror surface while I take sights. The mirror is 6 x 6 so it decreases reflective area to 5 x 5 or so. The last change I made was to add more "accordioned" paper folds beneath the vials, until they were pressed firmly against the steel of the base. Perviously I had foam tape at the top and as this was compressed the vials would move. Having 2 vials speeds leveling and reduces fine scratches on the morror from constant placing and removing the level. (Picture below, I hope)
