I think the following might be appropriate, at least I hope so. If not, please bear with me. I have a 30 year old electronic calculator, an HP 11C. I used it at work and later on as a hobby tool for celestial navigation calculations. The calculator can be set to at least 10 decimal places as I recall, I have mine set for 5 places, degrees, minutes and tenths, quite sufficient for sight reduction calculations. Funny thing about these calculators, and the number of decimal places they are capable of calculating to, especially when one stops to consider the measuring device they are using, a carpenters rule perhaps. Enough said, I think.
