Posted my question on CF and then realize the existence of this site.

Last time I used a sextant about 30 years ago, like to have a backup to GPS, simple use my navigation is mostly coastal eastern USA, with occasional Bermuda, now contemplating Bahamas and perhaps Mexico/Belize .

I have a Cape Dory 30,single hand mostly, have backups to backups ad infinitum, 

My good sextant was stolen 30 years ago, now carry a DavisMK3 and revisiting/re-reading my old notes, ran into the above described gizmo on Amazon, the price is right IF has any use, believe if it works may save me about half a minute? from reading the tables to apply the correction(really?) but have not yet found a gizmo I do not own.
