Dan, if you feel like experimenting, I found that clear plastic food wrap works better than a microscope slide cover. Use an embroidery hoop to stretch the plastic wrap and then glue it to the pellicle frame. I believe I also got that idea from Bill.
24' IC really isn't bad.
