Good luck on that. I have been looking for one of those for years. My late old friend John Luykx owned one but hung on to it with an iron grip. After he passed away, I don’t know what became of it. I did see one for sale some years ago on Captain Joel Jacobs’ website but it was out of my price range.
Ilon box sextants were, I believe, manufactured in New York but I suspect not many were manufactured as evidenced by how difficult they are to find.
