Some may find it interesting to solve Ageton's split triangle using a pocket calculator (see attached example). For those with an Otis King slide rule this can be done non electronically using a 4 place natural sin cos table.

Date: 2017 Jun 4, 17:53 -0700Trig log tables that include 5 place log secant and log cosecant will do just fine for Pub 211 style sight reduction to 1' precision. Just substitute log cosecant for A and log secant for B into the standard Pub 211 form solution (see example attached). There are numerous 5 place trig log tables to be found on ebay or amazon. The vest pocket table is the smallest if you can find a copy.
