Hi David
Do tell - you were a Nav on that operation Black Buck - read that book about the Vulcan coming out of mothballs - to essentially drop 1 bomb onto the runaway - which prevented the skyhawks landing but the Argintinian C130 could still use it.
Only read 1 book on it by Black - also read Harrier 809 the use of the jump jet Harrier to defeat the Argintinian Air Force.
I was in the RNZAF flying P3B Orions when that came up on our brief with possible staging of the long hauls transports or Nimrods (in support) through NZ.
As a logistical exercise - extraordinary - would love to see more written about the navigational side of the exercise and the flying logistics of getting the Vulcan down there and back - .....
