According to AVweb.com, the huge Airbus A380 is at Oshkosh this week for the annual "AirVenture" fly-in. Here's a little item that Google News spotted for me: "The top floor has a small porthole in the top of the fuselage so engineers can use celestial navigation to double-check their instruments -- a feature that the customer copies don't have" "Customer copies", by the way, means production aircraft. This Airbus is a test model. If you visit AVweb.com, you can also watch a video showing the plane making a very hard landing when it arrived in Oshkosh. Ouch. -FER --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ NavList message boards: www.fer3.com/arc Or post by email to: NavList@fer3.com To , email NavList-@fer3.com -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
