When Bowditch 2017 was released, we at NavList noticed several deficiencies in it...the most visible being the complete absence of a table of contents. There were also (in the original release of edition 2017) two completely different tables in Volume 2 labeled as "Table 34".
If you download today the arvhival version of edition 2017, the second instance of table 34 has been replaced by a blank page.
It was not really that Captain Connon needed another cup of coffee before hitting the "Upload" button...but that the project actually needed a general editor...an editor in fact and not just in name. An averagely bright high school graduate who had fun in his or her English classes could have done the job. But these volumes were evidently released with all the thoughtfulness of a late-night-Tweet.
In time, somebody in the Maritime Safety Office noticed this, revising and rereleasing Bowditch, labelling it as edition 2019. This edition corrects the two most glaring deficiencies from the 2017 edition.
