Hello!
I'm trying to re-create the table contents by direct calculation of tabulated values. The "cos" and "tan" columns are obvious (page 190). But I can not find the formula to get the "delta" values, the given values are far too huge for the near-zero angles.
I try:
- Δ = cos(0°) - cos(0°1') = 0,000000042
- Δ = [cos(0° - cos(0°1')] / cos(0°1') = 0,000000042
How else could I interpret the "delta" definition as a cosine change for 1' ? The Doniol's table gives the "delta" == 0,1 for 0°. How comes?
Please comment.
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Tony
