An azimuth formula that works everywhere? Even on poles?

Hello!
Usually I use the following formula for the azimuth:
cos(Az) = (sin(Dec) - sin(H)·sin(Lat)) / (cos(H)·cos(Lat))
It works good except on poles (Lat == +90° or -90°) where it fails with the division by zero.
Is there a formula that would work everywhere - poles included - and cleanly return the GHA of a body in question when the calculation is done for an observer on a pole?
