Many years ago I was given/inherited the analogue date/day of the week calculator in the photograph. I kept it on my office windowsill where it was admired by many a visitor although I can’t remember ever using it much, if ever, myself. Last night, I searched online for and printed off a 2026 Year Planner. Having encountered a free planner with a duff month a couple of years ago, I decided to check my new year planner using my analogue calculator and very quickly found a problem. Can you spot it, or am I using it incorrectly? I’ve tried to find a similar device on Google to see if this is a common problem, but strangely, I can find no record of my device. As I’m currently immersed on ‘Audible’ with Seb Falk’s ‘The Light Ages’ and Stephen Hawking’s ‘A Brief History of Time’ (well, I had a backlog of credits to use up), I’m beginning to wonder if my device must have somehow fallen from a parallel universe.
