Greg Many years ago I developed an Excel.xls spreadsheet for precisely determining distance between stars including some formulas provided by Alex and his library. Instead of using "backwards" refraction it calculates it directly, and has inputs for temperature and pressure as well. If you are interested I'll dig around in my archives and post it. Bill B
