Attached are zipped .xls and .xlsx spreadsheets for calculating angular distance. They can account for refraction and include temperature, pressure and elevation inputs; and employ many of the formulas the list has discussed. They were" ported" to Windows 7 OS/Excel 2010 from a Mac. They are also available in Mac OS 9.2.2/Microsoft Office 98 and Mac OS 10.4.11/Excel 10.0.0 versions if you wish to contact me off list. I can port them to Mac OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard) /Excel 2011 if need be. The top three rows are not linked to anything and are there for record-keeping purposes only. The user has the option of entering GHA Aries and SHA's of the bodies, or GHA's of the bodies. If entering GHA Aries and SHA's, set the GHA cells to zero and vice versa. If I recall all of the cells that do not require user input are locked. The sheet is protected, but not password protected. If you wish to change fonts, column widths etc. or just muck about, simply disable sheet protection. Any questions or bugs, let me know. Bill B
