    Dear George,
I am using few hours before my departure
to reply your interesting messages this morning.

Now I understand what you are saying about conditions
    giving anomalous (reversed) dip.
(I would still like to better understand the physics of this
phenomenon). Next time I observe from a beach in Kielerforde,
I will record the temperature of air and water.

It seems very interesting to me, if true, that such things can
    distort the dip by 3'.5

    Alex
